Saxifrage Studio is pleased to offer a special Art PD Day for your child to unleash their full creative potential in a fun and safe studio environment . Get ready for an adventurous day of post impressionism painting outdoors & more.
Important Paint Party PD Day
Ages 6-12
Art PD Day begins at 9:00am (drop off is between 8:45am -9:00am) and runs until 4:00pm (pick up is between 4:00-4:15pm)
The day includes: an outdoor drawing/painting excursion, picnic lunch , free play and a in studio art lesson. Please bring: Outdoor clothes appropriate for the weather, water bottle, lunch& snacks.
Provided: All art materials included

June 29 - July 3, 2026 - Junkyard Garden Art
Calling all creative tinkers, get ready for another round of amazing transformative art projects from discarded/recycled materials! Projects include: Glass Totems, Spring Animals & Jelly Fish Mobiles.
*No Class July 1st due to holiday

August 10- 14, 2026 - Illustrative Twists and Turns
Inspired by Children Illustrator legends such as Dr. Seuss ,William Steig to name a few, students will explore the art of storytelling through mixed media and printmaking.
Projects include: William Steig Insects, Dr. Seuss Tizzle-Top-Tufted Tree Creatures , Lino-cut Beetle Stamps and more.

Inspired by Impressionism, Monet ,Fauvism, Matisse and other pioneer Plein Air Painters, student will venture outside to boldly capture light , atmosphere and fleeting moments of the Northern Landscape.

August 17- 21, 2026-Mad Sci-Artist Lab
During this unique Sci-Art week, students dive into expressive art creation while experimenting with the science behind artistic mediums, drawing techniques, and art theories. Project highlights include Geode Concentric Circle Painting, dissecting Paul Klee's style, Yayoi Kusama's Good Bacteria painting, and the unforgettable Jackson Pollock Action Paint Party!

In this week of sea-themed art, students will have fun making unique and memorable treasures. Projects include: "Great Wave" quills, ship-in-a-bottle crafts, and paper-mâché octopuses.
