In this first session, participants will be introduced to easy and effective ways to create beautiful relief & textural techniques in Encaustic Painting. This includes imprinting ,embossing & incising methods using various tools such as stencils , stamps ,string and other everyday materials.

In this session, participants will be introduced to the enchanting shellac burn technique. Shellac a natural resin( or French Polish)when applied to a wax painted surface, then heated with a torch fractures creating intricate, cellular patterns & texture to your work.
Participants will learn several methods for applying shellac for different effects and how to make your own colored shellac medium.
